We Want Your Donations!
We accept donations Monday - Saturday from 10am- 4pm
We always like to explain our donation policy. First of all, we appreciate the generosity of our donors, without whom we would cease to exist. It has been brought to our attention that some people consider us to be overly critical. We try to be as lenient as we can, but we do have standards that we need to maintain to keep the assortment of quality materials that our customers have come to expect. So we can't take everything, and we prefer not to take items that we can't use immediately. So we have two basic standards:
ITEMS MUST BE FIT FOR RESALE
ITEMS MUST NOT NEED REPAIR OR SIGNIFICANT CLEANING
We reserve the right to reject any goods at any time, according to our needs. Items that we cannot sell or recycle end up in landfills which impacts us and the environment in ways that are not conducive to our goals. We have to pay, like anyone else, to have garbage taken away, and it costs us over $500 a month just to pay for trash removal. We recycle all that we can: we support three different missions with clothing that does not fit our standards, and other clothing, books and metal that we can't resell go to different downstream recyclers.
Please do not leave any donations except during regular store hours. We are not a dumping site: items that we cannot sell in the store constitute a health and safety issue for us and our neighbors. Any donations left other than store hours will be thrown away: anyone caught dumping items during off hours will be reported to the police.
We are always glad to answer any questions about donations, so if you have any questions please feel free to call us at (303) 404-2008.
